The Trust can assist only those who live within its area of benefit, namely Bideford and its neighbourhood, in the following ways: 1. For the relief of the aged sick and disabled and poor inhabitants of the area of benefit. 2. The relief of distress and sickness among the inhabitants of the area of benefit. 3. The provision and support (with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area of benefit in the interest of social welfare) of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation. 4. The provision and support of educational facilities for the inhabitants of the area of benefit. 5. Any other charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit.
