In Unitary Authorities such as Plymouth and Torbay food sections also deal with food standards which relate to the nature, quality and labelling of food. In the rest of Devon, Devon County Council enforce trading standards.
Whether you are a member of the public or the proprietor of a food business, you should be able to expect a high quality of service from your local food safety section. Local food safety information is also available and complaints or enquiries about food safety can be made to your local Council.
